Home Welcome to the official website to the Omani Club in Toronto (OCT)! OCT was founded in 2001 when the Omanis started to arrive to Toronto for their higher education at University of Toronto. Most of the comers are physicians coming for their residency and fellowship programs, but some are doing non-medical postgraduate studies. We started with three families, and now the number is exceeding 20 families. The main activities of OCT are social and to connect Omani families with each other and be ambassador for Arabic and Omani culture here in Canada. OCT in particular was a leader in promoting the one family concept, Omanis contributed to gatherings with residents and their families from other Arabian Gulf countries. This was a clear commitment despite the stressful and busy work time table. This website was made to try to explain our mission and vision, and as a mean of coordinating our activities in Toronto. It would be a way of letting other Omani groups in Canada to follow our progress and activities. Finally, useful and interesting website links can be accessed and viewed through the website, making it easier for newcomers to adapt to the most vibrant city in Canada: Toronto! Thanks for visiting our website and hope you would find it useful.
